The first character that every good lawyer must have is the ability to analyze data and information given and make sense out of it regardless of the volume. A lawyer also needs to be creative. He/she should come up with reasonable and practical solutions in instances when faced with unique situations and problems.

Lawyers do a lot of research. To prepare a legal strategy, a lot of research is needed which, therefore, necessitates the need for a lawyer to be well equipped with research skills. A lawyer must also be equipped with very good interpersonal skills so as to develop long lasting relationships with clients and peers.

A good lawyer must also have the best logical thinking ability and to make judgments that are reasonable. Lawyers also need to be patient and with perseverance abilities because, in many instances, cases need a lot of time. No individual can make a good lawyer if they are not good at public speaking. He/she must at all times be comfortable when addressing the courtroom.

When Life Gives You Lemons…

Na’ama Uzan, a five year-old in Toronto, Canada opened a lemonade stand. She branched out and added muffins to her menu. Did we also mention that the young girl is spearheading a fundraising effort to find a cure for Angelman Syndrome?

Na’ama’s older brother, Nadav, is living with Angelman Syndrome, a rare development and neurological disability. The disease makes speech and mobility difficult, and there is no cure. So, Na’ama decided to take matters into her own hands and raise money to find a cure. The results have been surprising. So far, the young businesswoman has raised $25,000 for research. Bernardo Chua ( is aware that, as far away as California, people are learning of and responding to Na’ama’s efforts. A family in California, whose own son was recently diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome, was so inspired by the young girl that they raised $20,000 for a research grant in Uzan’s name.
