My 2nd day of practicing the FAST!

I have taken a lot of grief from people telling me I shouldn’t fast.  I have found a few people who support my wishes.  I want to thank those people for trusting in me that I know what is best.  I don’t consider myself a very “sickly” diabetic.   Again I want to thank those who support me.
For the second day, I wanted to change my medication schedule.  I normally take 1,000 mg of  metformin twice a day.  Yesterday for the 1st day I only took one and no injection.   So today I am changing this up.  I am still going to keep the same food as I did but I will not eat the yogurt and I drank more water before 6:12 am.  Instead of the metformin I will take the Levemir injection.

6:00 am- I didn’t check my BS but I knew it would be in the 200′s because I just eaten lunch at 4:00 am and I didn’t take any meds.

9:00 am- I didn’t check my BS because I was sleep from work.

12:30 pm – I had a few hunger pains earlier and I had thoughts of trying to eat. My BS was 151 mg/dl.  This is interesting.  since yesterday at 1:00 my BS was much lower.  I am experience dry mouth but not that bad.  I am feeling hot but then I can be happy in a meat locker.  Seriously…I am always hot.
3:35 pm - I went site seeing on Mulholland drive.  The road drapes around a big mountain allowing you to see the beautiful landscape of the city.  what I find amazing is some of the houses are built on the side of the mountain and are head up by tall pillars.  I would never purchase a house like this especially in earthquake territory.  I promise to go back and take a few pictures to show everybody.  My BS level is 140 mg/dl.  I should go walking……

I still believe this is mind over matter.  My mind is focused on doing other things.  I will be designing a few more shirts to put on the blog.  I am not sluggish and I think I might go to the local book store to start reading a book.  I know sometime today I have to practice my congas.  The bad thing is I have to contact the teacher so he can show me the beats that I am suppose to practice.  I forgot them!  I am determined to play congas.
