Type 2-D

Everybody has an opinion on what Type 2 Diabetes and what its suppose to be.  I will give the scoop on life with Type 2 diabetes from the point of view of a diabetic and not a medical professional.  Medical folks though they mean well often are void of the daily struggle and mind grind that comes with the condition.  Just like any situation in life one must know to react to diabetes and learn how to work with diabetes.  I will encourage -you the reader – to please research medical information sources for more in depth technical information about the condition.  This knowledge will help you.

The disease is so much more than what is read in medical journals or on television.  The daily living with diabetes has been compared to having a 2nd job in addition to everything else. Testing the blood glucose levels is a way of life.  Do I like it—– NO!  Must I do it—-YES!  Wrapping your brain around the new changes that have to be done can be mind bottling.  Not everybody will be a support system for you. Some folks will do their best not to understand you and your new condition.  You—the diabetic have to remain diligent in your quest to be health and live the longest that your can.

Some Diabetics do not tell their family members of their condition.  They may down play how much diabetes is affecting their lives.  This is not a smart choice to make.

Type 2 diabetes is characterized as a metabolic condition in which the body is resistant to insulin and does not use it properly.  There is no shame
